Nelson and Waitiri commenced r at a vory early hour with a good gallop, the mare holding her own all the way, Molly ' Bawn covered a milo fast in fine style. First Lord, after going a mile with Sweot Briar at . half pace, was taken along by Apropos ', another round. First Lord moved in very | laboured style, Apropos pleasing her friends immensely. Disowned and Torrent went 1\ , miles at half pace. Patrician covered the cup ( distance on the plough in fine form, making i the best record of the season for the second i round. St. Ives did an excellent gallop over i two and a-half miles, moving wonderfully well. Forester did slow work, and Pasha x went two miles at half pace. Artillery oovered the Cup distance steadily, and Alpine Rose and Itepo went a mile and a-quartor at top, moving in better form. Reputation did a useful two miles. Trickster again pulled up lame after slow work, and Moana was a little stiff at the commencement of a two-mile gallop. Tasman is repored to have done excellent work in private, and to have como through a big trial satisfactorily. Quibble arrived hist night, and has boen backed for a largo amount. There is no money forthcoming against Disowned, but Nelson, Tasman, Waitiri, and Spado Guinea have been supported at late quotations.
