Religious Instruction in Schools.
[By Teleokaph.l | united press association.! Auckland, 13th October. The animal session of tho Diocesan Synod was opened by Bishop Cowic. In his augural address the Bishop deplored tho absence of religious instruction in public schools, and urged the clergy to supply the lack wherevor possible after school hours by gathering tho children in the Government schools together for religious instruction.
