The Blasting Accident in Dunedin, THE INQUEST. [By Telegraph.] (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, 18th May.
. A coroner's inquest was opened regarding the circumstances by which Mrs. Finch met her death from being struck with a stone from a blast. Mr. brine, the deceased's brother-in-law, stated that, hearing- tho crash of the stone through the roof, he went into the room, which was a mass of dust and dirt, and found Mrs. Irvine lying on the floor above Mrs. Finch. After taking his evidence, , the buildings , injnred were visited, and also the sit« of the Wast, where Mr. Barnes, foreman of the works, was briefly examined. The enquiry was then adjourned till Thursday, ' " v^
