Permission has been given by tho Court to stay oxecution of the verdict for tho plaintiff in the libel caae Bryce v. Rusden, pending the result of tho application of tho defendant for a new trial. The judges stated, however, that any new trial would bo strictly limited to the question of whether the duraagea awarded were excessivo or not. Bbuesels, 23rd March. Extensive strikes have taken place in the colliery districts of Belgium, and riots are of almost daily occurrence, causing frequent conflicts between tho rioters and tho troops.
