SCOTT'S NKW riß-SHOP AND BAKERY. The flncceT? which, during the past few years, has attended the business efforts of Mr. S. Scott, pastrycook and confeotioner, has been co marked that he has fonnd it necessa'y to vacate the old " Scofcoh Pie Shop " m Manners-street, and 10-day he took possession of his now and commodious promises, whichhe has erected in the same st*eet, immediately oppoiito the Opera House site. Tho new PBtablifihmont has boon designed by Mr. C. Tringhatn, arohiteot, from auggesiions mado by Mr. Scott and the remit of tho latter' s practical knowledge of what he required for business purposes, combined witli tho architect's well-known skill, is one of tho most porfect establishments of tho kind in tho colony. The building has been orccted by Mr. S. J. Green, contractor, who has carried out his work faithfully and to tho entire satisfaction of the arcbiteot and the proprietor. The building has a frontage of 24ft and a depth of 106 ft, and is of solid briokwork. The shop, whiob is 16ft by 17ft, has a handsome plate-glass front, with double swinging doors. The counter, whioh is bnilfc of red pise, with cedar top, is of sami-circular shapo, with tho concave part in front, while the mountings give it an exceedingly handsomo appearanoo. The shop jK fitted with large glass cases, whioh add to -" tho attractivonecs of the place. Two large, well-lighted, and comfortably furnished refreshment rooms ara reaohed by a door leadiDg fiom the shop. Each apartment is replete with every convenience that could possibly bo required by visitors. Passing along a wide passage the kitchen is reached. This is fitted up with all the usual requisites of the culinary art, and beyond this again is .the bakehouse, a lofty, thoroughly ventilated, and well lighted chamber 21 feet by 17 feet. The oven has been severely tested, and is pronounced by Mr. Scott to be the best he has ever worked. Tho heat is generated in a fnrnaoe at the dido of tho oven through whioh the flames piw, and equally hoat the oven in every part. A largo not water fountain and a separata ovon for poultry and joints benoath are fileo attached to the main oven. The bake-house is fitted with tho usual boards, troughs, Ac, for making pastry and confections. As in the remainder of the apartments on the ground floor, the wooden lining walls of the bakehouse aro varnished, whioh gives them a clean and finished appearance. A staircase in the bakehouse leads to the men's dormitories above, and another staircase springs from c, vestibule at the rear of the refreshment rooms, by whioh. the rooms required by the proprietor's family are reached. This iroito consists of a drawingroom, eight bedrooms, bathroom, and two Btor orooma . The rooms throughout are light and well finished, tho painting, paperhanging, &0.. roflootin? tho higheit amount of ciodit on Messrs. Butler and Brady, to whom this portion of the work wai entrusted. The estr.Mishment is a credit to tho ehterpiise of tho proprietor, who will doubtless reap the reward to whioh ho is entitled.
