This Dat. (Before Mr. H. S. WardeU, E.M.) DRUNKENNESS. A first offender was fined ss. UNRIOISTSRBD DOGS. George Davia pleaded Not Guilty to a charge of being the owner of an unregistered dog of a greater age than six months. The case was proved, and the defendant was fined 10s and costs. For similar offences Mark Bird and William Buck were each Mulcted in a penalty of 10s and costs, Thomas Pudnoy was finod 20b and costs, Thomas Gross 15s and coats, and Mrs. Jansen 5s and costs. Messrs. Johnson and Ames, Inspectors of Dogs for tho City Connoil, prosecuted in eaoh instance. RICKLXSS DRIVERS. J. Williams and A. Ballook were eaoh fined 40b and costs for having driven across the intersection of Custom House Quay and Grey-stroet at other than a walking pace, on the 17th init. The cases wero laid by the Sooretary of the Harbour Board. The evidence of Mr. Hobbs, M.H.R., and others went to show that tho defendents, who aro the drivers of coal parts, wore racing round the corner in question, and that a man was knocked down and nearly killed. Arthur Hyboll and James ATooro wero imprisoned until the rising of the Court for a similar breach of tho Vagrant Act.
