Co.'s ss Tongaiiro, which arrived from London yesterday, made the passage in 41 ¦lays, including stoppages at TeuoriSe, Taps of Good Hope aud Uobart, her actual steamingboing 42 days 41 minutes. She brings 190 passencors of all classes. One death occurred, that of Mrs ATllwruith, aged 70, of bronchitis ; sho was a steerage passonger for Auckland. The Tongariro hits 15.251 packages cargo for Sunedin, aud 81,070 fDr Lyttoltou. * The ss Huia left Wanganui at 7.30 p m. on Monday, and arrived at Fioton at 10 a in. yesterday ; sailed at 3.80 p.m samo day, aud arrived here tvt in 30 this morniag ; owing to the thick fog had to anchor in Oyster Cove all night. She Bails for Wanganui this ovening. The us Tui left Foxton »t 7 last night, had dense fog to Kapiti, and arrived here at 430 this morning. Sho sails for foxton and Bangitikei to-night The ss Stormbird left the Manukau at 2 p.m. ou Sunday, New Plymouth at 10 a m. next day, and reached Wanganui at 9.30 p m. ; sailed agaiu nr 7 last night, and arrived hen at 8 this morning. Und fine weather throughout. She sails for Wanganui to-night. The steamer Maori left Greymouth at 6 p.m. on Monday, and experienced Btroiig N.E. wind ii nd thick misty weather, arriving in port at 4 . this morning. Sbo raturnß to-uight via Picton. Tito ps Lyttelton, from Shannon, arrived hers lsst night. The sreamer Te Auau loaves Auckland to-day for Melbourne direct instead of the Waiborn. , The latter vessel comes down the coast, arriving here on Sunduy. Tlio barque G. M. Tucker is 13 days out from Newcastle to-day. As the steamer Wanaka only left the Mannkan this morning, it is possible she will leave here on Saturday instead of Friday, for Lyttelton. The sa Hawoft left Port Chalmers on Monday, Lv Melton at 10 SO last night, and arrived here at 2.30 this afternoon. She sails North to-morrow.
