Tho final stage of the senior cup matoh, Phoenix v. Star, was resumed on the Basin Beserve at 2.30 thin afternoon. Roberts and Luke returned to the wiokets, on behalf of the Star, to the bowling of Holmes and Wood. With two wiokets down, the Stars last Saturday made 43. Luke and Boborte made a good stand. The former was bowled at five minutes to 3, after making 21, and increasing the total to 02. Twist ftMed the vacancy. At 3 o'olook Roberts was caught by Wood off Holmes after making 20, bringing the score up to 64. Twist was shortly afterward oaught by the same player for 11, the score then standing at 85. The Star CO. then required 50 to win. At 3.45 the Stara had five wiokets down, and only required 16 to win. Brown and Nioholla wore at tho wipksts, scoring rapidly, and likely to remain until the requisite number was scored. Lateb. The Stars won by four wiokets.
