FULLER PARTICULARS. This Day.

At 10.30 last night a fire broke out in the shop of Mr. W. Dunlop, diaper, Tay-street. , The Fire Brigade were soon on, the ground, ¦ r but the fire had complete hold of the building, which was of brick. The flames soon caught Mr. Hay's wooden store 'on the west of Dunlop's, and before they could bo subdued also destroyed the house and shop of Mr. Perkins, tailor, house and shop of Mr. Perry, fruiterer, house *n4 Bhop of Mr. Goodwillie, saddler, and a (hop . occupied by Mr. Biordan, fruiterer, and c owned by Messrs. Price and Bulli»BV<t*< tho butchery occupied by Mr. ftaines.Uso owned by Messrs. Price and Bullied, had to be pulled down to stop further progress of the fire to the westward. At one tint* , there was a danger of the fire spreading eastward to Boss, tho photographer's, brick premises, but the water played on the building, with the wind blowing from it, saved it. The insurances, «o far as known, are— Dunlop's shop (owned by Del&nevand Moir), .£2OO in the South British, and 4500 in the Liverpool, London, and Globe; the stock bought of Dunlop by MoOison and Duthie, Dunedin, was insured by them in the Victoria for £1000! Hay'i stock (damaged), .£2OO in the Royal, and £50 in the Mutual ; the building, .£IOO in the Mutual ; floodWillies stock (saved) and building, £550 in the Victoria; Biordan, £50 on the building in the North British; Farnie, painter, stock damaged by removal, £50 In * the Victoria ; £150 on the building (unia? jured) in the Standard. Bon's itook (damaged), £300 in the Norwich Union; building (damaged), £200 in the Norwich Union and £200 in the Liverpool, London, and Globe. The origin pf the fire k a mystery. Mr. Dnnlop estimate* hit low at i £3000, and Mr. Hay putt his down at £1000.
