Consols have declined to 995. New Zealand securities remain at the following quotations :— Five per cent. 10-40 loan, 107 J; s.per. per cent. 1889 loan, 106$; 4$ per cent. 1879-1904 loan, 10l£. Adelaide wheat, ex store, is unchanged at 48s ; and New Zealand ditto, at 46s to 48s. Off coast cargoes of Adelaide wheat are quoted at 47s 9d. Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, 355. Australian tallow, best beef, 45s 6d ; best mutton, 46s 6d. The catalogue at to-day's wool sale comprised 9700 bales. Bidding generally was quiet, but good combing wools realised full prices. Nxw Yobk, sth September. The homeward mails which left Auckland on 15th August arrived at San Francisco yesterday.
