THE POMEROY COMPANY.

"LED ASTRAF." A orowded house greeted the Pom9roy Company on their re-appearance at the Iheatre Royal last night. Dion Boucicanlt's drama " Led Astray," which was given so successfully on the occasion of the company's first yioit, was again produced, and on the whole pasted off exceedingly ■well. Miss Pomeroy's acting 1 was powerful and realistic, a< usual, and the talented artiste received several recalls and bouquets. Next in order of merit wo must place Air. Herbert Flemming, who played the part of George De Lesparre in a most finished manner. Miss Kate Arden appeared to great advantage as the Dowager Countess de Chandoce, and the other lady members of the company aoiuitted themselves very creditably. Mr. W. J. Holloway, ai Count Rudolph Chandoce, exhibited all his characteristics advantages, and disadvantages. There were passages in whioh his acting was very powerful, but the mannerisms to which we have before made allusion, were disagreeably apparent through a great portion of the play. Mr. J. J. Wallace waa in his element as Major O'Hara, and sc»red a decided success. Mr. O'Neil did his best with the part of Heotor Placide, which he took up at short notice, but of course it was unavoidable that the character should suffer from the absence of Mr. Hoskins who took this role on the previous representation. Tonight " Winter's Tale," wMi the grand aoenery brought from the Theatre Royal, Melbourne, ia to be produoed. There is every prospect of the theatre being again crowded.
