THE TE ARO ELECTION. TO THE EDITOR OF THE EVENING POST.
Sir,— l quite agree with your correspondent " Te Aro " as to the desirability ot our sending to Parliament men that we know something about, and I think it would be exceedingly unwise for us to return representatives merely on their own orations. We do not want men in the House who are merely stamp orators like Mr. Price, always talking radical reform and theorizing, but never practising. For our representatives we want men of stability, those with some stake in the country, and not those who go from one occupation to anothor and never make a sncces3 of anything. The electors of Te Aro must have a good man, and not be carried away with radical reformers, Btump orators, or oily speeches from birds of passage. I am, &c, 18kh November, Itßl. Elictob.
