Wallabl while proceeding to the Futiki Bide of the river to undergo repairs to her propeller, grounded on a snag, which pierced one of her plates. The Bteamer Albion, from Melbourne via Hobart and Bouth, arrived nt the wharf at 9 o'clock this morning, after a 21 hours' passage from Lytteltoa. a heavy northerly gale was experienced in the Strait, with heavy head sea. Tb« Albion sailed for Auckland via the East OoKBt thio afternoon. The Haia arrived at the wharf at 11 30 to-day, after a 12 hours' run irom Wanganui. The Mobuka, from Blonheim, arrived at tho wharf at 2 o'clock this morning. Bhe returns this evening. Tho Manawatn left Wanganui at 11.30 last night and arrived here at noon to day. The barque Unicorn, wbich we reported yesterday as being at tho Heads, dropped anchor in harbor at 5 p.m. yesterday. She left Qreenock on the 12th July and had light southerly winds to the Eqiator. Tbe'S.E. trades were moderate and of Bhort duration. Kan her easting down ib 46deg. From the meridiau of Greenwich had light variable windß with fine weather. Sighted Capo Farewell last Friday and had light baffling winds through the Strait, arriving here ac above. Nothing worthy of particular note occurred during the voyage, and the passengers ore all well. The Unicorn will be berthed at the Queen's Wharf to-morrow morning, and commenco discharging on Thursday. Messrs Zohrab Newman and Co. are her agents. Tho barque Annie Melhuish, from Newcastle, beat into harbour last evening and was brought up to the Queen's Wharf. The s.S. Napier left for Kaikoura last evening and returnß to-morrow morning. The steomera Haurabi for Wanganui, Opunake, Waitara and Oitehunga, Kiwi and UoAhead for East Coast, I'ui fur vvongomii. Grafton and Charles Edward for Pioton, sail this •vening. The Waitaki returns from Nelson and Pioton to-morrow morning, and sails South Bnme day. The steamer Penguin should arrive to-morrow from the South. She sails North on Thursday. The b.b. Oreti, from Auckland via the East C*ast. should arrive this oven ing. The Jane Douglas arrives from Foxton this evening. The Charles Edward takes the excursionists to Picton to-night instead of the Wallace, and the b • Kennedy brings them back, leaving Hcton to-morrow evening.
