APPROACHING MARRIAGE OF SIR C. GAVAN DUFFY.
The Marquia of Salisbury, in his speech at Newcastle last evening, alluding to the Irish land legislation last session, charged Mr. Gladstone with initiating a policy of public plunder. Sir Charles Gavan Duffy is engaged to be married to his cousin, Miss Hall. The marriage will take place next month. Intelligence has been received from India that Ayoub Khan haa abandoned tho Governorship of Herat, and again sought an asylum in Persia. Mr. Gray, member for Callow, and proprietor of the Freeman's Journal, is among those arrested on account of his violent and inflammatory speeches. He was Lord Mayor of Dublin last year. - "¦ Mr. Parnell has been interviewed iv Kilmainham Gaol by some members of tho Irish Press, and emphatically denies having committed, the offence named in the warrants issued for his arrest, and complains bitterly of the unfair manner in which the Irish Executive is exercising the extraordinary powers conferred upon it last session. With a view to the threatening condition' of affairs in the disaffected districts of Ireland, the military authoritiea hav!e issued an order stopping leave to officers of all regiments stationed in Ireland. _____ I
