Wanaka, for the Soatb, crossed the Uanuk«u Bar at 1 p.m. to-day. Blotb 1 , 25th October. The Arawata left Sandrid^e at 1130 am. on tho 19th, Hcbart at 430 p.m on tbe2let, and arrivod here at 12 80 pm. to-day ; experienced moderate bead winds as far as Bobart, thence (Strong south-east winds and heavy seas. She aailß at 5 p.m. for Dooedid. Passengers for Wellington— Miss Borofall, Mesdames btubbins, M'Laurin, Weaton and Clifton, Messrs. Stubbins, M'Laurin, Outfield, Clift, and Kilgour.
The s.B. Grafton arrived from West Coast ports and Nelson at 080 last night. She sails South to-morrow forenoon. The steamers Jane Douglas for Foxton, and Napier for Blenheim, sail tbis evening. The p.s. Charles Edward for >elson and West Coast ports, sails to-morrow The Government steamer Stella leaves for Opunake to-morrow taking a detachment of the 'Wellington N avals for tho " front " The s s Ponguln, from Nelson and Ficton will arrive here to-morrow morning. In tho afternoon she sails South, The bb. Waitubi, from Port Chalmers and Lyttelton, will arrive to-morrow. On Thursday she leavcß for Onehunga, via Picton, Nelson and New Plymouth. We understand that the Btoamor Alhambra, whioh is referred to in our cable messages today, has been chartered by the Union Company. The departure of the steamers Huia and Manawata, for Wanganui, has been postponed until to-morrow evening. The steamers Patea and Wakatu, from Patea Via Watigaoui, and Hauraki, from Wanganui via Foxton, should arrive to-night.
