DuNEpiN, 21st October. Captain Baldwin retires from Dunodin East, having to visit tho Home country. Mr. J. A. Barr, solicitor, declines to stand far JJoslyn. This Dat. Mr. John Bathgate ia out for Roslyn, and Councillor John Barnes for City East. Mr. Green has stated that he would give tho Government an independent support. Auckland, 21st October. Mr. Tole announces himself for Eden. Mr. Theo. Cooper, jun., is spoken of for City West. Christchurch, This Day. Mr. W. H. Pilliet. a candidate for Stanmore ; Mr. John Anderson for South phristchurch; Mr. H. W. Pennyman for Lincoln ; Mr. J. H. Lee and Mr. Isaac Wilson for Kaiapoi, addressed the electors lasb night, and all received votes of thanks.
