Auckland, 20th October. At a meeting of Sir Georgo Grey's supporters, ho definitely announced to stand for City Past. Mr. Thomas Poaoook, exMayor, is montioned for one of tho city electorates, and Mr. John M'Mwain for Waitemata. iNVKKCAiiaiLL, 20th October. t Mr. Cowan is a candidate for Hokouui. He has had successful meetings at Lninsden and Dipton. At tho latter placo he received a unanimous voto of confidence. At tho requost of a uumbor of electors, Mr. Bain, tho sitting member for Invcroargill, has decidid to contest Awarua. Otaki, Tins Dat. Mr. G. W. Kussell, ono of the candidates for Fox ton, addressed a largo meoting of the electors last night, and was well received. CttRISTCHORCH, TiUB DAY. Mr. S. P. Androws, M.H.8., addressed the electors of Ohristchuroh North laet night, and received a vote of confidence.
