Two minors, Davey and Handry, were killed in the Catherine Keef claim, Ea?lehawk, by the breaking of a rope, which had been in constant use for three yaara. Both men were frightfully mutilated. A correspondent states thit Skuthorpe aaserts he has tho diary of Leichardt. containing full descriptions of till his transactions. He also haa Classen's diary. Classen, he states, lived three years with the blacks, and made three attempts to escape, but was captured and flogged. Skuthorpo declares he was taken to Classen's grave by tho nat'ves, and describes a skeleton if a man with a long black beard, under a tree, on which was inscribed tho word "dig." He found the box containing the relics. The Government has promised to entertain Sknthorpe's olaim only if proved bond fide by competent persons. 12th October. Cases of small-pox continue to be reported from various suburbs. They are said to be due to the fact of bo many persona at 11 remaining un vaccinated. In the new Licensing Act Amendment Bill the Assembly has limited the hours for opening and olosing pnbliohouses. Tho latter hour is eleven at night.
