Wind— Between north-west and aonth-west in both Islands. Babombteb— .Rise at all places south of Lyttelton within 12 hours ; later at all other plaoes. Sea — Heavy on western coast, Warnings for northerly gales have been sent to all stations north of Kast Cape, and hold good for north-west to Bouth-weat gales at all other places. BYNOPSIB 07 LAST 24 HODBS. Hard westerly gales have been prevalent at all places, from Napier southward, but tbe weather has been moderate in other parts of the couutry. The barometer rose a little yesterday at all placca eoathof Caetlepcint, but hits again fallen daring the sight, and Ujs risen slowly from Napier northward. K. A. EDWIN. 14th Ootober.
