Wind— Between south-west and south-east in both Islands. Barometer— Further rise at all stations. 813A — Heavy between Kaikonra and Castlepoint. Warnings have been sent to most of the East Coast stations north of Castlepoiut. BYNOPBIB 07 LAST 24 HOURS. Late in the day the barometer commenced to rise at all places southward of Ly Melton, but everywhere else it continued falling for a few hours, and has also risen during the night. BtroDg gales from the southward and much rain have been experienced on the East Coast between BlaS and Castlepoint B. A. EDWIN. 17th August.
