RENEWAL OF NATIVE FENCING
♦ A telegram was received last night by the Government from Colonel Eoberta, stating that the nativoa had re-erected the fencing, which, as we mentioned yesterday, they put up on ground that they had no right to enter upon, and which the Constabulary promptly removed. It is believed that this has been done without Te Wuiti's sanction, and, indeed, in direct opposition to his commands. Instructions have been given for the second removal of the fence. To-day's telegram from Colonel Eoberta reports that there has as yet been no indication of any attempt to erect the fence for the third time. He states positively that none of the re'eaaed prisoners were concerned in this affair .
