THE "FREIHEIT" PROSECUTION.
SENTENCE ON THE EDITOE. London, 23th June. Consols are unchanged at 100^. New Zealand securities remain firm at previous quotations, viz.—s per cent. 10-40 loan, 105; 5 per cent. 1839 loan, 105; 4i por cent. 1879-1904 loan, 103. Adelaide and New Zealand breadstuff 3 ara still quoted at 503 for Adelaide wheat, ex warehouse ; 47s for Now Zealand wheat, and 3ts for Adelaide flour. Australian tallow—Best beef, 35s 6d ; best mutton, 37s 6d. At the wool sale to-day, 7100 balo3 wote offered, making a total of 325,000 catalogued since tho commencement of the series. The tone of the sale 3 continues very firm. Johann Most, the Editor of tho " Freiheit," who was last month found guilty of the charge of publishing articles justifying the assassination of the late Emperor of Eussia, has been sentenced to sixteen months' imprisonment with hard labor.
