A young man, twenty-B^ years of age, named John Ferry, brother of the landlord of the Occidental Hotel, Wanganni, lost his life by being Bmothered last night. Ho camped near an embankment, a portion of which fell, oovering the deceased, who was lying in his tent at the time, and was apparently instantaneously smothered. An inqneat will bo held to-day or to-morrow. Deceased was a oompositor, bat had not been working at his trade for some time.
