Te Anau, from Auckland via the Bast Coast, arrived yesterday morning, and sails this af icrnoon for Melbourne via the South The a•. Wanaka arrived ftem Lyttelton yesterday evening, and left for Pioton and Nelßon this afternoon, but owing to the heavy sea at the Heads, had to return to the wharf at 3 p.m. The Hinemoa. from Lyttelton, came ia at 5 VJa, yeaterday, with the Maoria who have just been released Iroia prison. She proceeds to New Plymouth when the weather moderates. Tha steamers Uuia and Munawatu arrived yesterday from Wanganui. The bb. Jane Douglas arrived yeaterday morning from Fo_ton and Rougltikei, and returaa to Foxton to-morrow. The ateamers Tui for Foxton, and Murray lor Nelson and West Coast, left ou Saturday night, and the Go-Ahead and Grafton sailed Houtn Captain Holliday received a telegram from Pilot Bolmeß to-day, stating that there was a very heavy sea running at the Heads, and that the steamers Go-Ahead and Gruf ton, which left here yeßterday for tue Sooth, were anchored in Worser Bay ; there -was also a strange brigantine uobored in the biy. ,._, The steamer Bamaon EOiled for Wanganui, Waitira and Onehunga y&sterday. The Tui IB expected back from Foxton to morrow. , Owing to the heavy southerly gale blowing to-day the departure ot several steamers tutu been postponed until to-morrow Th« Bteauier Taiorou will make a special trip from the South tbis week.
