TERRIBLE EARTHQUAKE.
FIVE THOUSAND LIVES LOST. Irbtjtkr's telegram. 1 London, 6th April. Newa has been received that an earthquake of a terrible character has been experienced in the Island of Ohio (Scio), in the iEgean Sea, off tho coast of Smyrna, Asia Minor. The results have been most disastrous to life and property, the accounts to hand estimating that fnlly 5000 persons have mot with their deaths.
