SUGGESTIONS FOR THE DRUIDS.
4 TO THE EDITOR OF THE EVENING POST. Sir — Although the procession of Druids has caused us almost unmixed delight, it strikes us that there is a want of thorough completeness and keeping in the costume which might, we think, be easily remedied. We therefore would Buggest following the additional emblems. In the first place, in the right hand might be carried a bedroom candlestick, with extinguisher. In the left a pair of snuffers, with bath- towel over the arm. The shape of the head-dress is also faulty. We miss the correot conical form, and usual tassel); the boots might also be replaced by slippers (down at heel). The triumphal car might take the form of a fourposter, from which the leading Druid could preside with much dignity and effect. The promenade in broad daylight is puzzling to the infant mind, and suggests night as a more fitting time. Hoping that these few suggestions may prove useful to a most respectable body, and that you will kindly find room for them (suggestions, not Druids) in your valuable and widely-read paper, We are, &c, Two Chambermaids.
