SUPREME COURT.—CIVIL SITTINGS.
J. V. SMITH V. JOHN JOHNSTON. This case was brought to a close yesterday evening, the jury returning a general verdict for plaintiff. Some legal points, however, will have to be argued and decided in banco before the verdict can be entered up. This Dat. (Before bis Honor Chief Justice Prendergast and a common jury. F. A. KRTJLL V. JOSEPH HITCHENS. In this case, which was brought to recover the sum of _>52 10s, alleged to be due on account of rent for a certain parcel of land from June to October last, at the rate of 15s per week, Mr. W. T. L. Travera appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr. Sandilanda for the defendant. The case was on the point of concluding when we went to press.
