NEW ZEALAND SCULLERS IN NEW SOUTH WALES.

TO Tffß EDITOR OF THE EVENING POST. Sib — To decide a wager, can you tell me whether White, of Mercury Bay, N.Z., when last in New South Wales, pulled second to William Trickett in the sculling race ? I am, Ac, Stab Club. [We presume the occasion our correspondent refers to was the Balmain Regatta, which took place on the 10th November last. The result of the Champion Sculling Eaoe at that regatta was— W. Trickett, 1 ; S. Edwards, 2 ; E. Laycock, 3. Through an error on the part of the signalman the flag for No. 10 race was hoisted instead of No. 11, and consequently A. B. White, of Mercury Bay, and another intending competitor did not reach the post in time to start. The message cabled to New Zealand, by a curious blnnder, placed White second.— Ed. E.P.J
