OAMARU RACES.— SECOND DAY.
Oamabtt, 18th March. The Maiden Plate was a very hollow affair ; of five horses on the card three were scratched, and May Moon had an easy viotpry. The Steeplechase was also a hollow affair, Shilelagh being the only horse to go round. The Hack Selling Steeplechase produced a very good race, but the finest race of the day was the Autumn Handicap, in which the four horses ran almost in a cluster until entering the straight, when Chancillor drew slightly away, and won a grand race by a length from Tera, with Blue Peter third. GBEYMOUTHEACES.— SECOND DAY. Gbeymouth, 18th March. The races to-day were well attended, and' the fields good. The Goldflelds^Handica£of 70sovs. resulted thus— Satellite, 1 ; Robin Hood, 2; Warrigal, 3. Rata won the Hack Race. Grey Valley Stakes Handicap, of 308OVS. — Blazing Star, 1 ; Whalebone, 2 ; Bore, 3. Handicap Hurdle Race, of 25sovs. —Robin Hood, 1. Forced Handicap, of 208OVB.— Blazing Star, 1 ; Robin Hood, 2.
