THE "CRACK CLUB" OF WELLINGTON. TO THE EDITOR OF THE EVENING POST.

Slß— Wellington cricket is at a sufficiently low ebb without requiring to be made out •worse than it really is. According to your morning contemporary, the "crack" club in the place yesterday suffered an overwhelming defeat from the Greytown eleven. With all due deference to the Times' opinion on cricket matters, I venture to dispute the title of thl*3ohemian Club to be.considered the " crack" Wellington club. It is quite likely that the Greytown eleven, judging from their yesterday's form, would be found capable of coping with our " crack" players, but they have encountered very few of them as yet. I am, &c, Cricketer.
