THE NATIVE CRISIS. SPECIAL TO THE POST. [by TELEGRALPH.] (FROM OUR OWN correspondent.) Patsa, Tahis Day, 9 a.m.
A meeting was held last night amongst the natives on tbe other side of the Waingongoro. It was decided by them to resume ploughing this morning, a force of some 60 Maoris to participate therein. The arrangements made by the Government for arresting the whole lot are admirable, the Armed Constabulary being there in force. The volunteers are also prepared to assist if necessary. It his been asserted in various quarters that 1 he Plains natives are holding aloof from Te Whiti's ploughing policy; but during tvs last two or three days the natives that were friendly have most of them become infatuated with Te Whiti, and are leaving in great numbers for Parihaka.
