EXECUTION OF THOMAS HOGAN. Melbourne, 9th June.
The convict Thomas Hogan, sentencea to death for shooting his brother dead at Yarrawonga some time since, was executed at Beechworth Gaol this moraine:. The prisoner exhibited the utmost indifference to the last to the dreadful fate which awaited him. He walked firmly on to tha scaffold, and when he was asked if be had anything to say, he gruffly replied " No," and motioned to the hangman to draw the bolt. He died almost instantaneously. When examined after being cut down, the nock of Hogan was found to be deeply cut from ear to ear^ tho wound being nearly an inch broatl.
