EXECUTION'S. FEARFUL SCENE AT AN EXECUTION Brisbane, 9th June.

A fearful ccene occurred at an execution which took plaoe within the precincts of Brisbane Gaol, at 8 o'clock this morning. The prisoner was a German named Joseph Mutter, who was recently convicted at Townsville of the murder of a woman at Ravens wood. All things were carried out with the usual formalities, but owing to the rope being hardened by tho frost, on the drop falling, the man was completely decapitated, the head having been pulled off by the weight of the man's body. The spectators turned away horrified with tbe shocking spectacle.
