inebriety:. Wm. Campbell, charged with drunkenness^ was, in consideration of -having been- locked up since Saturday, discharged. Robert J. Lloyd, Thro. Bell, and James Sinclair, charged with drunkenness, pleaded' guilty, and were fined ss, or in default 24 hours' imprisonment. John Maher, for tbe same offence, was fined 103, or fn default 48 hours' imprisonment. VA-OSANCV. j Mary Ann Nugafit, charged with vagrancy, was remauded until Wednesday, in order that j enquiries might be instituted. *" j ' . Z.AKCBNT. -, John Connell wad Robert Hall were charged with stealing an overcoat, value £4, the property of Alfred Wakeford,:of the Bank Hotel, Manners-street. Ttie charge against Hall was withdrawn by Sergeant Anderson. The- others prisoner pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to eight weeks' imprisonment. CIVIL CABBS. French — Claim, £3 3s; ordered to pay debt and costs in 14 d.ys, or in default two weeks' imprisonment. William HuntClaim £4 3s 3d ; ordered to pay baif the debt in four weeks, balance in eight weeks, or three weeks' imprisonment- Gardner v. W. Brown — Llaim, £3 Is ; ordered to pay in 14 days, or 14 days' imprisonment. Bennett v. Langtree — Claim, £15 6< ; ordered to pay in two instalments ot 14 and 28 days, or eight weeks' imprisonment. In the following cases judgment was given for plaintiffs, with costs : — Bank of New Zealand v. Marchant— Claim; £50 ; Meyer v. George - Claim, £1 0s 7d; Natban and Co. v.
