A most destructive cyclone occurred here on Tuesday. A number of houses were unroofed, and great damage was done to the Botanical Gardens.' There have been heavy floods at Darling Downs. His Honor Charles Lilley has been sworn in as Chief Justice, Supreme Court. The vacant puisne judgeship has been offered to the Hon. S. W. Griffiths, Attorney-General.
