The ploouing at Tapuae is being proceeded with. The Armed Constabulary have orders to put the ploughmen off to-day. Had not this order been issued, the settlers themselves would have taken forcible action. Tbe Parihaka Maoris bought a large number of spades and axes in New Plymouth yesterday. 12*15 p.m. The Maoris commenced ploughing on Mr. Bayley 's land at W hite CUfEi to-day. . j The ploughing at Tapuae will be put off today. It is said that they left off work yesterday on hearing that orders were issued to the constabulary to put them off.
