Jas. Daly pleaded guilty to a charge of drunkenness, and stated that he was about to leave in the Emma Barrett. Serjeant Anderson informed tbe Bench that the statement was true, but he had been fined 5s on the 23rd for drunkenness. The Bench inflicted a fine of ss, or in default 24 hours' imprisonment. CIVIL CASBS. Judgment summonses.— Wiggins v. Gardiner £9 4s Gd, ordered to pay debt aud cost in fourteen days, in default, to an imprisonment for

three weeks ; Tringham v. Jones, £34 Is 6d, ordered to pay debt and csts by instalments of £2 a month, part payment to be made in fourteen days, in default, three woeks' imprisonment j iSouth Pacific Loan Co. v. Geo. Harris, £15 13s BJ, ordered to pay debt and costs by instalments of 20s a month for the first three months and 40s a month afterwards, or in default, eight weeks' imprisonment. In the case of Travera and another v. Pilmer, £6 19s 4d, judgment was given for defendant. In the following cases judgment was given for plaintiffs :— Waddle and others v. Daly, £4 15? 3d and costs, ss ; Williams v. D'Arcy, £4 5s 6d and costs, Cs Yule v. Fisher, £65 15s Id aDd costs, £5 3s,- Williams v. Roberts and another, £11 5s 6d and £1 lGs costs : J. Young v. H. Silky £7 8s 9d and 8s costs; Newman ?. Haggie, £9 and 8s costs ; M'Clealand v. CrOmond, £21 18s and costs, £1 11s.
