Grand National Steeplechase of 200 sovs.~Eversley, Agent, Lone Hand (Muir's), Loyalty, Silverstream, Royalty, Grey Momus, The Lad, Te Whetu, Moose, Ivanboe, and Fakir. , Hunt Club Cup of 150 sovs.— Eversley, Agent, Lone Hand (Muir's), Loch Lomond, The Lad, Ivanhoe, Alma, Te Wketu. Neilson's Lone Hand did not accept./ A match for £300 a side between Mr. Evans' g m Milly and Mr. Milner's b g Black Boy took place to-day. The distance was 15 miles | on the Ricarton Road. Both horses went off well. Black Boy taking the lead, which he held to tue finish, winning by a long distance, in 47min. There was a large number of spectators. A good deal of money changed hands on the event. The racing stock lately imported from Australia, the property of Mr. H. Prince, was offered for sale by auotion to-day, but all were withdrawn, the reserve prfcendt being reached.
