The Luisitania arrived at Adelaide last night from London. A rich gold discovery has been made at Stawell. On the meeting of the Queensland Parliament on Tuesday the Douglas Ministry were met by a direct vote of want of confidence. The debate is proceeding. The Opposition are confident of success. While firing a salute at the opening ceremony two gunners were killed by the explosion of a gun, and a third .wounded. Both were accorded a public funeral. The Governor's speech stated that on the expiration of the Torres Straits mail service tenders would be invited for a fresh service, as the present rate of speed is considered inadequate to the requirements of the colony. Melbourne, 17th January. Three armed men, beiieved to be Kelly's gang, stuck up a hnusa last night at Pemberley, near Malmshury. Brisbane, 17th January. The Ministry were defeated on M' ll wraith's want of confidence motion by a majority of 12. A vast concourse oi people attended the public funeral of the two gunners killed at the explosion when firing the vice-regal salute. Much public sympathy was manifested for them.
