The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency (Limited), report under date London, 13th January :— Wool trade in the manufacturing districts is slightly better. There has been little trade inquiry. Wheat market quiet. Adelaide is worth 495, and New Zealand 44a per quarter. Tallow market firmmutton, 38s ; beef, 355. Leather market firm. 7400 sides Australian are advertised for sale on 10th instant.
