The cricket match between the Canterbury Eleven and the Bohemians Club commenced this morning. The weather was fine, but intensely hot. The Canterbury players suffered much from the heat. Canterbury won the toss, and going in first ran up a good score of 197, Ollivier, C. Frith, and Neilson each playing a fine innings. The Bohemians then went in, and at once began scoring fast, Campbell hitting the bowling to all parts of the ground, while Robinson and Darke both played ia fine form. The Canterbury bowling was rather loose, but the fielding excellent in spite of the heat.
