Reid in his sermon on Sunday last give* an oDen challenpo on the question of "The SabbatT" (or tho tide of his discoiir>«), "Tho Sabbath was made for Man; but I am at a loss to understand by his quotation if he means a written correspondence or a verbal open debate ; perhaps hii reverence will kindly imform me through the medium of your columns. I am, &c, Pkebthooght.
" Down here in summer time we take life easy," says a Texas paper; and then, as if to confirm the statement, there appears ia the next column an account oi " Three Men Killed at Camp-meeting."
