HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. Yesterday.
In the House yesterday afternoon n number of motions for returns, &c., of no general interest, were agreed to. — The adjournod debate on Mr. Stevens's motion, "That it is expedient that this House should be iuformed whtther the Government will introduce a measure, this session, dealing with the subject of endowments of Crown lands for counties and municipalities, as promised last session." ¦was resumed, and the motion was agreed to.— On the motion of Mr. Woolcock returns showing the area of Crown lands sold laityenr, with particulars as to the sfce of the holdings, in each provincial district, were ordered to be laid on the table.— A number of local bills were forwarded a stage, and at 4 o'clock the remainder of the business on the Order Paper was postponed, to enable the members to leave for the South.
