DUNEDIN. 4th September.

The directors of the Mosgiel Woollen Factory have invited the members of Parliament to inspect the works On Saturday next. An inquest was held this afternoon at Outram, Wtest Taieri, on the body of George Christie, coach proprietor. ' The evidence showed that He had drunk six ounces of laudanum Within a few hours, and was in the habit of taking it to keep down nervous excitement caused by drink. The jury returned a verdict that deceased committed suicide while in a slate of unsound mind, and appended a rider to the effect that the Government should take steps to prevent the sale of poisons by unqualified, persons, as the evidence showed that deceased had bought at open auction a ship's medicine chest, containing amongst other things "a twelve-dunce bottle of laudanum.
