The fortnight's yield from the Caledonian is 405 ounces. A lot of specimens and picked stuff were raised lust night. The Protestant Alliance Friendly Society, recently established, is receiving large accessions to its numbers. 46 were admitted at a weekly meeting last night. The natives at the Thames and Piako are taking steps to prevent any of their people going to Waikato to cause fighting.
