The Constabulary have arrived, nnd leave for the front to-inorrovv at five a.m. to construct fortifications at Rotorangi, on the confiscated line. Two of William Thoifbson's sons are here direct from the King, awaiting the return of Mackay, who is ex. pected from Alexandra this afternoon. They report that great preparations are being made. Tawhiao's final answer is, that he will not give up the murderers. The natives are preparing for the worst. .Rewi, it is expected, will be involved.
