AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the Committee of this association was held at the Wanganui Hotel, yesterday, for the purpose of receiving the entries for the exhibition to be held on the 16th ( instant; -and, also, to make arrangements for the site, and other, details connected therewith. Mr. W. T. Owen was. elected chairman of the meeting. Mr.' A. M^onald, the Secretary to the association, read the niinutea of the previous meeting, which were confirmed. The' secretary then handed in the entries which had been received, and which comprised upwards of 150 sheep, 15 horses and mares, draught .entires, and thoroughbreds, bulls, cows, and heifers, sows and pigs, poultry, cheese and butter, '&$. " The committee having examined the entries, and found them' in ¦accordance with the rules of the assaciationyit was proposed by Mr. Peat, seconded by Mr. Morgan, and resolved — " That "Messrs. A. MvDonald, Edward % Greenway, #nd the mover, be appointed stewards of the show yards, to obtain a site and arrange the details for the forthcoming show." The appointment of judges of the various stock and articles to be exhibited was next considered, when it .was resolved that the following gentlemen be requested to act: — -Messrs. Mason, Burnett, and J. Hurley, as judges of cheese and butter. ' ' '. Messrs. W. L Buller, W. F. Kussell, and J. Kirkpatrick, as judges of poultry. Messrs. P. Buckthoughfc, W.TvOwen, and Willian Garner, as judges of pigs. Messrs. ' ' R. Hamm'omV ! - J Cfaptain Daubeny,,lßth 8..1., and LVDaniell, as judges of horses. Messrs.
