"A Nazi journalist who had visited Luxemburg wrote in his paper: 'The Luxemburgers have a good character. They are germanophile, - honest, and intelligent.' The Luxemburg underground newspaper 'Ons Hemecht ,v (Our Country) reprinted this statement and added the following comment: 'Our distinguished colleague must be wrong. Any Luxemburg individual can have only two of these alleged;, national characteristics. Either he is germanophile and intelligent, then he can certainly not ba honest. If he is honest aifd germanophileA then he cannot be intelligent. But if he is inteligent and honest, it is quite impossible for him to be germanophile'."— Edinburgh "Scotsman."
