DOG TRIALS
ELLESMERE COLLIE CLUB
The annual meeting of the Ellesmere Collie Dog Club was held in the Tai Tapu Hall with an attendance of 24 members. The report showed a substantial credit on the year's working, which was very satisfactory, considering petrol restrictions .and other difficulties which competitors had to contend with. This year, the trials, which are to be run in conjunction with the Canterbury Championships, will be held on May 15, 16, and 17. The course at "Ahuriri" has been greatly improved since the N.Z. Championships were held on it two years ago, and has been very favourably commented upon by dog owners and the general public. Officers elected were: Patrons, Hon. Sir R. Heaton Rhodes, and Messrs R.
