Sedgemere

At Sedgemere Hall on Saturday night the third of a series of card and dance socials was held in aid of school funds. There was a good attendance and a most enjoyable night was spent at cards and dancing. The most successful players were Miss V. Stretz, Mrs- A. Brown, and Messrs T. W. Vince and Francis McCormick. Consolation prizes were won by Mrs Teihoka and Mr R. Lambie. The Monte Carlo dance was won by Mrs J. Barton and Mr A. Brown. At the previous social the Monte Carlo was won by Miss Iris Duff and Mr Francis McCormick. Music for the dancing was supplied by Mrs Lambie while Mr C. Marsh was M.C. The fourth of this series will be held on Saturday night next when a crowded house is expected.
